ReMind
Supporting Therapeutic Goals Between Sessions
ReMind enables clinicians to encode their craft into structured guidance profiles that shape the AI's tone, scope, and boundaries. A patient speaks a short check-in; later in the day, a brief guided audio returns, shaped by their own words and held within the frame their therapist set.

ReMind was accepted into the highly selective Immersive programme of Innovations in Mental Health.

Continuity already in the room
“I treated it like a companion. It gave me the confidence to move forward in some situations. In others, it helped me to regulate my feelings so that I felt able to cope.”Pilot participant
Validated in a three-week feasibility study (N=27, screened for moderate workplace anxiety).

Guided
Alchemy
AI-powered practice to improve dream recall and transform your waking life
Guided Alchemy is a simple practice I created to improve dream recall and overall lucidity. After personally logging over 1,000 days of dreams and discovering lucid dreaming along the way, I began to explore how this practice could have more meaningful impact on my day to day and expand the richness and depth of the dream experience.
Inspired by Jung's active imagination, dream yoga, and cognitive behavioral therapy, Guided Alchemy is about becoming more sensitive to subtle shifts in awareness both while dreaming and throughout the day.

“Since I started using it, I've noticed a surge in lucid dreams and dream recall. I've even begun revisiting places and experiences from previous dreams, each time revealing deeper layers and messages.”App Store review by Journeyer

01 / AR + CREATIVE TOOLS
TikTok Effects
A selection of AR effects and creative tools
Created at TikTok between 2019 and 2023, the set includes both minimal and more complex experiments, highlighting how simple mechanics can unlock expressive creative potential.

02 / WEB + SOUND
808 Cube
Aleatoric drum machine built from a Rubik’s Cube
808 Cube was a commission to create a sound-based version of the Rubik’s Cube for Google. Each twist of the cube generates a new musical pattern, drawing from the Roland TR-808 drum machine and the cube’s 43 quintillion combinations. The result is a kind of controlled randomness, where new rhythms emerge from simple, tactile movements.
808 Cube was part of a Google exhibit at the Liberty Science Center, where watching people shift from solving to listening, and begin treating sound like color or texture, highlighted how simple interactions can unlock entirely new ways of perceiving.

Sleepy Kitty
Interactive companion to overcome selective mutism
When my daughter faced selective mutism, speaking freely at home but unable to speak at school, I wanted to find a gentle, creative way to help her break through that barrier. We designed a simple 3D cat character together, which would sleep and snore until spoken to. The only way to wake the cat was by speaking into a microphone, prompting it to respond with cheerful meows.
When we brought this project to her teacher, my daughter was able to interact with the cat, even if it was just through meows at first. This small step was monumental and a part of her journey to overcoming selective mutism.

Sound Room 1
Jumbling sound in space and time
The idea of a delay effect as a “time machine” is a common metaphor in music, especially in the world of delay pedals. But what happens when you add interaction and spatial movement to the equation?
Sound Room 1 is a 3D environment that intuitively responds to your voice, translating each syllable and sound into interactive tiles that fill the environment. As these tiles collide, they light up the room and echo the sounds that created them, allowing you to explore how the context of voice and sound shifts when reassembled across time and space.

Animate Objects
New Yorker cartoons in augmented reality
An augmented reality and machine learning experience created with The New Yorker that gives voice to the secret thoughts of everyday objects. The experience feels playful and magical, deliberately hiding its underlying technical sophistication. Users point their camera at items in their home, which are recognized and augmented with illustrated thought bubbles, animated humor, and spatialized sound, making lighthearted use of powerful iOS capabilities that most people rarely encounter in everyday apps.

06 / IMMERSIVE + VOICE
VVVR
Sing objects into existence, together
VVVR (Visual Voice Virtual Reality) is a shared VR experience created with artist Casey McGonagle. The piece invites two participants to explore their voices together, transforming sound into form and presence. Since its debut, VVVR has received international recognition, including an Epic MegaGrant, and has been featured at art and technology events worldwide. It has also been discussed on Psychology Today and presented at Stanford’s Psychedelic Medicine x Design workshop.
Peter Rubin’s book Future Presence includes a chapter on VVVR that offers an insightful outside perspective on the project, and an audio recording of the chapter is available for listening.

07 / LIVE + GENERATIVE
Shadow Theatre
A real-time performance of light, shadow, and sound
Shadow Theatre is a collaborative audiovisual performance created with artist Fluorescent Grey. Commissioned to accompany his live orchestral set, the piece premiered at Gray Area Theater in San Francisco.
Set within an abandoned theater rendered in Unreal Engine, a virtual sun, driven by MIDI data generated in Reaktor, moves in sync with the evolving score performed on Yamaha physical modeling synthesizers. LFOs and envelopes modulate the sun’s position and environmental parameters, causing light and shadow to shift and pulse throughout the scene. The result is a hypnotic 45-minute journey where sound and image merge into a single immersive performance.

08 / MUSIC + INTERACTION
PollySynth
Collaborative synthesizer
Imagine having a signature synthesizer sound that followed you around in the real world. What if your sound could interact with others in a physical space? What does it sound like flying around the room?
PollySynth is a collaboration with artist Sébastien Roux and combines simple UI with fun character design to virtually eliminate the learning curve associated with synthesizers and the technology involved.
